Brian Wong is the owner of Red Tower Advisors and has more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry. Acting as a fiduciary with advisory clients and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Brian focuses on comprehensive financial planning with a client-centric approach to help his clients work towards viable financial strategies.
Brian builds successful relationships with his clients by listening earnestly to their concerns while maintaining a relatable and approachable demeanor. When he meets with clients, it is a two-way discussion that takes place, not a lecture. He is a graduate of UC Davis with a B.S. in Physiology, minor in Economics and holds the designations CFP, CHFC, CLU, RICP and CDFA.
The importance of family has been ingrained in Brian from a young age, as he comes from a large family of sixteen aunts and uncles. This value plays a crucial role in the level of care he takes when providing financial guidance to his clients and their loved ones.
Brian was born in San Francisco and has lived in the Bay Area all of his life. In his free time, Brian enjoys spending time with his large, extended family and attending Boy Scout events with his two sons. A weekend well spent means the family got to try a new restaurant in the Bay Area and played a game of basketball together. Brian can speak conversational Cantonese.
Director of Planning and Brokerage Operations
Bryce Heringer is our Director of Planning and Brokerage Operations. His focus is on financial planning, client relations, account maintenance, insurance and meeting preparation.
Bryce has over 26 years of experience servicing high net worth clients in the financial services industry . He started in the industry as an Institutional Trader and made his way into wealth management. Along the way, he has held several roles within investment operations, trading, and supervision. Prior to joining Red Tower, Bryce was a Relationship Manager at Loring Ward with heavy knowledge in investments and trading.
Born in Southern California, Bryce moved with his family to the Bay Area at a young age and has been here ever since. He currently lives in San Jose, and is one of three brothers and a sister in his family. Challenging himself both mentally and physically every day is important to Bryce, and he stays highly active in his free time by golfing, playing basketball, scuba diving (he learned to dive originally in Monterey, but prefers the warm waters of the Caribbean), and obstacle racing in 5k mud runs.
Investment Service Executive
David is Red Tower Advisor’s (RTA) Investment Service Executive. He holds the CFA designation. David assists RTA with research and analysis of broader economic data, market conditions and trends. He also assists the advisors at RTA with determining client’s appropriate risk level utilizing our Riskalyze tool and as directed rebalances individual portfolios as well as places portfolio trades.
David has over 23 years of experience in the area of investment management. His past experience includes investment analysis, portfolio management, credit risk management, and banking. He was the lead institutional portfolio manager for the Floating Rate Debt Group at Franklin Templeton Investments and held other positions while there for over 15 years. He also held positions at Union Bank of California, Bank of America, JP Morgan and Swiss-Re.
David is from the Bay Area but has lived in other locations, including Europe. In his spare time he enjoys walking “Duskie” the family rescue shorkie-poo, traveling, and time with family.
Chief Financial Officer
Joe Borriello is part of LPL’s CFO Solutions, an exclusive service that provides industry-trained professionals who simplify data driven decision making and business strategy in LPL advisors’ practices.
Joe has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years. And has been working with independent advisors for the last 15 years. He joined LPL in 2021 to apply his experience and expertise working with Advisors in the CFO Solutions program.
Joe resides in Nevada where he, his wife Karla, and their 2 permanent fur babies (Crab and “Chicken Bone” Will, open their home to foster dogs. They volunteer with different local dog rescues and have been known to be secret Santa’s for at risk youth.
Client Services Associate
Kelly Davis is part of LPL Business Solutions, a service that provides industry-trained LPL professionals who can simplify operations and streamline LPL advisors’ practices. She partners with advisors to provide support on administrative tasks and client management functions.
Kelly has worked in the financial services industry for 6 years at Waddell and Reed. She joined LPL in 2021 to apply her experience working with Advisors in the Admin Solutions Program. She enjoys working with advisors in her role on the Admin Solutions Team.
Kelly is from Kansas City, KS and enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and volunteering with different organizations including Children's Miracle Network and Cross Lines Outreach. She is married with a 3 year old boy and one dog. She is also an avid Chiefs fan!
Melissa oversees the operations and flow of the practice to help ensure the client experience is not just positive, but efficient! Never one to waste time, Melissa plans and organizes client events, manages the team calendar, oversees the team, and looks for ways to improve how we serve our clients. She holds a B.S. in Child Development/ Family Relationships and a Masters in Occupational Therapy.
Prior to joining Brian, she managed the physical rehabilitation departments of senior homes in San Francisco and worked as an occupational therapist. Originally from Texas, Melissa enjoys maintaining her home and bargain hunting for a great find. She enjoys opportunities to volunteer at her sons' school and binge watching a family show on the weekend. Most afternoons are spent as a chauffeur to hip hop and taekwondo classes and squeezing in a homecooked meal. Melissa is fluent in Taiwanese and Mandarin Chinese.
